All of a sudden it’s back to Tech topics. Interesting time to divert from politics/world events
-
The size of the Elephant in the room is staggering!
-
Sacks should speak up about Operation "Epic Failure"
-
Nothing on Iran? Wonder why…
-
No topic on Iran and impending global energy and fertilizer crisis
-
Completely ignored the market meltdown lmao
-
Nothing on Iran 🤣🤣🤣 The falloff will be studied
-
TALK ABOUT THE MARKET!
-
Love the podcast but we’ve got a GLARING topic omission this week guys. Not everything has to be about politics, but I don’t think ignoring the war is going to make it go away
-
I'm still a fan of the pod and I've kind of poo poo'd a lot of the criticism over the last year. However, the strait of Hormuz is by far the most important thing happening in the world and deserves a segment every week until it resolves. If the strait isn't open by May it could be catastrophic. If foreign countries get desperate for oil they will sell US equities and bonds to get dollars to buy increasingly expensive energy. That will tank stocks and blow up the bond market, making covid look like picnic. That's Iran's endgame, and time is not on our side.

All-in jokesters
-
Thank you Friedberg! It’s always easier to blame someone else!
-
Their silence on Iran is deafening
-
Welcome back, to the 1# grifting podcast in the world!
-
crazy how these guys care so much about things that dont mean anything to the lives of 95% of people
-
Can u imagine the amount of shit they would be spewing if Biden was in office right now
-
David F — nailed it. We keep outsourcing responsibility and then blaming the system for both doing too much and not enough. Government isn’t a parent or a god — it’s already stretched past its competence. Meanwhile, we expect it to solve problems that start at home. If your kid’s habits are off, that’s on you — you control the inputs. A “kill switch” is just cleanup after the fact. The real work is teaching discipline and boundaries early, before there’s anything to “fix.” This constant victim framing is the problem. Parenting is a responsibility, not a suggestion — your job is to raise someone capable, grounded, and accountable. And one more thing — there’s no such thing as “vibe coding.” You’re prompting, not coding. Big difference. "Dad don't be a loser" if you responded to that at all - you are the problem.
-
My cell phone costs $50/mo for 3 phones. Why would you pay $100/mo? Nothing on Iran, market, world going to hell; shame on you guys!
-
No talk on the obvious. Wonder why? I just come for the comments now. Much more entertaining
-
Sacks is in Texas Oblast.
-
I love the show but have a question. Why isn’t Chamath in jail yet? Between his SPAC swindle and the SoFi meltdown it’s just a matter of time.
-
No word on Iran..reason being they also know US has done big blunder
-
Wow 57:00 JCAL winning an argument against Friedberg
-
David Friedberg for CA Governor! 🎉

Long take. Buckle up. I’ve been listening to the All-In Podcast for a long time, since its inception, and what originally made it great was the mix of perspectives. These besties didn’t always agree with each other, and that tension actually made the conversations interesting. You’d hear different viewpoints, people pushing back on each other, and sometimes changing their minds. It felt like a genuine discussion rather than everyone marching in the same direction. Lately though, the vibe feels very different. Since Trump’s second term began or perhaps 3-5 months prior to his election win, the conversations seem a lot less balanced and much more aligned. What used to be nuanced debate now often feels like a group effort to explain why every decision coming out of the Trump admin is actually a good one. Instead of real scrutiny, there’s a lot of mental gymnastics to frame even the more questionable moves in a positive light. Sometimes it’s honestly impressive how far the reasoning stretches. To be fair, I get it. These guys are businessmen at the end of the day. They operate in circles where access, influence, and relationships matter. When you look at their behavior through that lens, it actually makes sense. People tend to act in ways that protect their interests. The part that feels odd though is the moral framing that sometimes comes with it. The show often presents itself as defending big principles, free speech, the American public, and truth-telling. But the conversations increasingly sound like they’re protecting proximity to power more than anything else. At times it almost feels like watching a bad product being sold with really great marketing. The underlying opinion might not be that convincing on its own, but it gets wrapped in a story about patriotism, leadership, or long-term strategy. And suddenly you’re supposed to believe this is exactly what everyone needs. Meanwhile, actual criticism of policy rarely gets much room to breathe. There are moments where Jason does seem to push back a bit, and to his credit those moments stand out because they feel closer to what the show used to be. But more often than not he ends up getting overwhelmed pretty quickly by the other besties piling on. Perhaps because he starts with expressing his disagreement with the administration first and then explaining why. He gets in the crosshair before any explanation. Also if you think about the dynamics, it’s not that surprising. Jason is obviously very wealthy compared to the average American, but among that group he’s clearly the lowest in terms of wealth and influence. A lot of his power and relevance comes from being in proximity to people who are significantly richer and more powerful than he is. So you can kind of see how the dynamic plays out over time. Across different episodes it feels like he slowly shifts his frame of reference, moving from being more of a critic to sounding more like a beneficiary of the same system the others are defending. Friedberg, on the other hand, often seems to have the most authentic and grounded takes on the pod. There’s a reason many listeners seem to like him the most. What’s interesting though is how he approaches criticism. He’ll lay out the logic, point out the flaws, and sometimes offer pretty sharp critiques, but he rarely directs the blame squarely at any one person or institution. It’s almost like he presents the criticism in a way that acknowledges the problem without putting a clear target on anyone’s back. That approach lets the viewpoint exist without immediately putting him in someone’s crosshairs. I remember during the COVID years when Chamath would occasionally push back pretty hard on some of Friedberg’s critiques, but over time it feels like both of them have adjusted their approach slightly. Those direct clashes don’t really happen anymore, and the criticism now tends to be delivered in a way that keeps the conversation moving without blowing up the dynamic between them. David Sacks is also an interesting case when you look at how the dynamics on the show have evolved. During the Biden years, he was actually a breath of fresh air on the pod. He was pretty clearly aligned with the conservative side politically, but that often meant he was the one consistently offering criticism of the Biden administration when the others seemed more comfortable with it. In a strange way, that created balance because at least one person was willing to challenge the prevailing narrative. Now that the Trump administration is in power, the roles seem to have flipped. Sacks has become one of the most forceful defenders of the current administration, often right alongside Chamath. The contrast between his role then and his role now is pretty noticeable. Chamath is probably the easiest to understand once you look at what seems to drive him. At the end of the day, he seems very focused on getting rich and famous, and he often frames his story as the classic arc of someone from a humble, difficult upbringing who made it really big. One thing that has always stood out to me is how he occasionally brings up the fact that he is the wealthiest among the group. I think it’s happened two or three times where he’s explicitly mentioned it on the podcast. It’s an odd thing to feel the need to say out loud when you’re already sitting among a group of extremely wealthy friends. It almost feels like the perception of being the richest matters to him, as if the richer you are the more credible or important your voice becomes. And in that sense he often seems to want to be viewed as the biggest voice on the pod, regardless of whether that’s actually the case. And honestly, once you see that as the core of his motivation, a lot of his takes start to make more sense. He might also be the most duplicitous of the group. He tends to align with whoever is in power, almost without fail. Most of the time you’ll see one of two things from him. Either he is heavily praising the administration in power, or he simply avoids criticizing them and just goes along with the flow. The one exception is when it becomes obvious that a political shift is coming. In those moments he suddenly becomes very vocal in criticizing the current administration. You could see that toward the end of the Biden years, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the same thing happens toward the end of the Trump administration as well. Among this group he’s probably also the most skilled at the mental gymnastics required to make those shifts. Principles and morals don’t really seem fixed. They tend to get defined based on whatever is useful in that moment. Another thing that stands out is the guest lineup lately. It feels like most guests already agree with the hosts or are broadly aligned with the administration. I honestly can’t remember the last time someone came on who could offer a thoughtful, well-argued critique of U.S. policy. You almost never hear serious discussion about how U.S. foreign policy is shaped, or perspectives that question some of the dominant narratives, Just Palestine issue for example here: I lost the count of pro-Israeli guests that have been on the pod - shapiro, bari weiss, sandberg, kushner. There have been almost none highlighting the plight of palestinians. The closest were jeffrey sacks and mearsheimer who are honest and consistent about their takes but of course those conversations were on broader topics. When such viewpoints are completely missing, the conversation starts to feel less like exploration and more like reinforcement. And again, I understand why that might be the case. Bringing on guests who openly challenge government policy can put people in uncomfortable political crosshairs. It can affect access, relationships, and opportunities. But if that’s the reality, then maybe the show should drop the whole “fearless truth-teller” posture. It’s hard to claim you’re defending open debate when certain perspectives just never show up. The podcast is still entertaining at times, and the besties are obviously smart guys. But what used to feel like an open conversation now sometimes feels more like a coordinated narrative. And honestly, the contrast between what the show used to be and what it’s turning into is probably the most interesting part of all. The funniest part is that you can almost guarantee how this story ends. The moment a non-Trump administration comes into power, these guys will flip on a dime. Except perhaps Sacks. There will probably be an episode where they talk about how they’ve “learned more,” how they now prefer “balanced perspectives,” and maybe they’ll even throw in a few gentle critiques of the previous trump administration to show how thoughtful they are. Then, just like that, the conversation will move on and their viewpoints will conveniently start aligning with whoever is running the government at the time. You’ll see the same mental gymnastics again, just aimed in a different direction. Honestly, I’d bet good money this happens. It’s almost too predictable at this point, which is what makes it kind of funny. Thank you for your attention to this matter! Haha
-
Market meltdown? What’s that ? Queue picture of flames everywhere in the break room sipping my coffee
-
Responsibility part was so good. 🎉🎉
-
Reposted David Friedberg’s interview too. We need more high profile people to speak up! Thank you David!😊
-
Friedburg for Governor. I am a fan!
-
Is it only me or others don’t feel like watching them anymore. Biggest downfall in realtime ever.
-
It's funny how all these comments are saying, what about the war, what about energy, because I actually found this to be one of the most informative episodes of All-In I've ever watched - but I'm not a money person, I'm more like an AI person in the doom/transformation vein, and in the past I've been annoyed with Sacks in particular for scorning the idea that AI is some kind of risk to the human race. But they had a whole section on superintelligence this time, and also I simply appreciate the expertise and experience that informs their projections. So it was a pretty satisfying episode for me.
-
These guys know who the boss is
-
Sacks going down with DJT!
-
55:22 PREACH DAVID F. BRAVO
-
Personnel responsibility yes unless the producer or company was deceptive about the potential harm.
-
Jcal actually made good counters to Friedberg in the Facebook segment. Always good to have a balanced view. Kudos
-
Oh pity a $500 bn corporation for paying a $3 million tort tax. The companies should hold some societal responsibility for the products issued to the public
-
This is some bull shit propaganda to save face on this administration. How do you not address the WAR
-
Media is so easily captured by Politics. These guys folded to Trump so hard as soon as he was elected and now we gets no update on geopolitical and market moving developments because it will make them look like they’re not towing the party line. Took so little for the power to shift.
-
Love Friedberg's point on assuming responsibilities for personal choice.
-
I could listen for you all day long. Thank you for another great podcast.
-
I guess Brad should have taken Sam Altman’s offer to buy out his shares.
-
When you become so unbelievably partisan and sycophantic, its only a matter of time before you talk yourself into a corner. I remember wanting to believe these guys would tell it how it is in 2021-2022, now it’s just sad.
-
Thank You Friedberg
-
They keep discussing minor political issues like California and LA races but ignored the whole damn war and energy crisis . What a let down
-
I mean this poadcast is so helpful in understanding the current landscape of tech and especially AI and it is so information rich along with real facts. The simple clarity and detailed analysis they provide is amazing....its unbiased and raw but filtered at the same time....great job bdw.....i follow these discussions from years now and being a first gen entrepreneur it is so helpful.........from India with 💐

Hallelujah to David F. - We need to take ownership!

My subwoofer every time chamath hits his desk 🔊🔉🔈🔊🔈🔉🔊
-
I’d like everyone to close their eyes… now picture your bank account. Now I want you to picture Chamath’s bank account.
-
55:55 -- Freidberg says no one takes responsibility for themselves anymore....he's so right...why isn't that whole thing the starting point for every conversation. We've got 3 kids and they weren't allowed cell phones until age 13 and web browers or social media until they were 16....it might be slightly more work to keep "winning their hearts and minds" on that rule, but so far the 1st 2 have been head students at our school, and the 3rd might be when he's a senior. You gotta take responsibility for how you act in this world cos everyone else is only really thinking about themselves, and the corporations are really only trying to make money for their stakeholders.
-
Man do i love the title tune
-
This podcast is great! Very knowledgeable crew and interesting topics. I’m glad it showed up on my feed.
-
I love it when Friedberg goes Super Saiyan!!!
-
Always excellent
-
Dirty grifters
-
Classic politically compromised pod right back at it avoiding the only relevant topic of the day like clockwork
-
I appreciate the industry insight from you besties. Keep it up!
-
Honestly Criminal that you guys did not mention Iran
-
These guys are frauds. First they pretend the Epstein bombshells didn't exist and now they know nothing about bombs in Iran,
-
Jean jacket Chamath is crazy
-
Thanks for bringing back the intro. Nicely bookends the pod. Love it!
-
Thank you so much for bringing back that intro with the poker effects🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
-
Anyone else notice the quiet message of David's background - the car driving off a cliff?
-
1:00:00 Sacks is 100% correct. When the internet came out I dove into HTML and Graphic Design without any support from school until it was too late. Fortunately I stuck with it at home on my own and it opened up my mind to computer science and medicine. Whatever child adopts AI early will be better for it.
-
I absolutely agree with Friedberg. This age of oppression, victimhood, etc. can only be countered by agency & empowerment for individuals, parents, etc. This includes the truth that understanding & accountability are two sides of the same coin. Agency & empowerment depend on accountability.
-
I agree with Friedberg on personal responsibility 💯!! I also feel that tools are needed to assist parents or adults in keeping an eye out for anyone under 18 years of age is accessing anything online period. ❤
-
40:24 Anthropic Max plan brings value. ❤
-
chamath that graph👍👌
-
Yay David Freiberg …. Personal Responsibility. 1000 percent!!
-
Friedberg for the win!!! Seriously, your soapbox was absolutely on point, brother!!
-
I agree one of the biggest problems in our country is lack of personal accountability
-
I think with the point that you made sir earlier, which is Google for instance already has a lot of your information so they can have a customize service for you as far as being able to give you referrals or suggestions or recommendations on what whatever it may be based on them having your calendar them seeing what you’ve looked up before them seeing what you’ve liked them seeing what you paid for in your reviews I mean so much information but I think the key is what companies are going to be trusted to be able to collect that information to give that best service with their computing that we are able to have today
-
I can tell you how Washington State is doing - Starbuck's leaving to Business Friendly Florida. Microsoft is eyeing Texas and why is all of this? This new idea to tax the rich is causing big business to just leave for friendly places much like Tesla.
-
Ask Chamath about his Capital Loss Acquisition Vehicles (CLAVS).🙂
-
Please go after tort reform!!!
-
The pigeon closes its eyes and thinks that the cat is gone . No discussion on impending global crisis especially on the energy front !
-
we need John Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs FOR SURE

Here is an elite click of successful tech nerds that really care. Love these guys!❤

New viewer. This video opened up AI to me and made me aware of the advantages it holds for me and my family. Pretty high payoff for just dropping in.

I must say. I like to intro track. You need to have it dubbed. Late night deep tracks.
-
Suggestion for David and David… Bring Kirk Sorensen onto the team (very knowledgeable on thorium molten salt reactors)
-
Anyone have the link to the McKenzie study referenced in this pod
-
Can you guys discuss California Digital Age Assurance Act (AB 1043). Related to your discussion.
-
Time to make my signature mocachoca half-caf frappuccino, with hazelnuts and a dash of orange to listen to the girls speaking Altmanese, where everything and I mean everything is double entendre!
-
should have discussed the recent supply chain malware incident...glad it was focused on tech
-
Love how everyone had to mention how they don't agree with Claude leadership 😅😂😂
-
nothing I can say that addresses what value you gentlemen bring to the viewers - nice to have an insiders / fly on the wall view. Also the friction from Jason is a plus - gotta have friction in a good storyline....Muchas gracias guys.
-
Concerning Chamath’s enthusiasm for Open AI’s focus on the consumer market I worry that consumers aren’t yet ready to pay to play.
-
Who thought guys, when starting this POD during Covid, you would get all these opportunities! You have been my weekend downwind/market update/learning since the beginning. Just wanted to say thank you. Even though I dont agree with all opinions, I still respect the discord and views of all of you!
-
As always, fellas, thank you guys very much for giving us your gems and gold. You found along your travels. It’s always appreciative thank you.
-
The intro is back 🤌 well done Nick. I don't care what anyone says. I know you made this happen behind the scenes
-
and now we have an intro 😌
-
Simple answer to Chamath’s problem with his kids YouTube… no homework!
-
I love the parenting discussion about social media for our kids. It’s like the same conversation about why do you need to use Snapchat? Why do you need to have Instagram? Preaching to the choir about parenting teens lol 😂
-
I love this podcast! Lots of interesting topics this week. Go Besties!
-
Friedberg spot on with the rant about liability
-
Thank you Jason for advocating child safety!
-
Chamath predicting that brands will go down to 0 whilst wearing a Patek Philippe watch and loro piana sweaters 😂
-
All-in on the freeburg rant. Preach brother!
-
Thank you, Friedberg!! We have become a society of "anything wrong with me is someone else's fault, be social media, be drug, be alcohol, be gun, be smoke, let it be knife, gaming, betting, trading........ Where is our own brain, decision, responsibility as an individual and as parents.
-
i love all the guest you guys have on, but we get the Original 4 this week! LETS GOOOOOOO!
-
This podcast is mandatory. Great stuff. Ace in the Hole ♠️
-
Yes to David S.! Individual responsibility is what is needed in educating kids and teenagers about using AI.
-
Department of Defense —-> Department of War. When Anthropic started their contract with the government, it was a defense department but now it is a war department
-
Preach Friedberg on personal responsibility! Meta should not be liable.
-
It is getting tough for the besties to balance lately…guess that’s how wealth works 😢
-
AIs Memory will be the strongest moat
-
Friedberg! thank you, great personal responsibility rant. 100% agree
-
I agree with David F that personal responsibility is where this belongs, but the tort industry is also a problem that needs to be addressed. CONGRATS David S. You continue to volunteer to help the country with your energies rather than make more money!!! God will reward you!!! CONGRATS David F. You are a great addition to this science effort and we thank you too, for your selfless dedication to making us better!!! God will reward you!!!
-
Thank you 🙏 for not talking politics unless there's something different to add. Many others cover it extensively n many consider 2 besties to be partisan anyways 😂. Congratulations for the new accomplishments 🥳🎉
-
💯 @ freidberg's point on taking responsibility
-
Congratulations, David Friedberg!
-
Average consumer wants the best AI search tool that is free, period.
-
Loved the convo
-
chamath compares chatgpt to electricity to and cellphone service. sensational !!!

41:35 Listeners of Scott Adams were hearing him describe this same idea 2+ years ago. RIP to a great futurist.
